World Series of Poker Circuit Event at Horseshoe Tunica January 22 – February 2

The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Tunica this season with a new home. For the first time in the tour’s history, the Horseshoe Tunica will host a Circuit event.

Horseshoe Tunica has been part of poker history since it opened its doors. It was originally founded by Jack Binion, a member of the Poker Hall of Fame and son of WSOP founder Benny Binion. Now, the Horseshoe becomes part of the WSOP Circuit as well.

The Circuit stop will run from January 22 to February 2, and tournaments will be held in Bluesville, the Horseshoe’s concert venue. The schedule features 12 official WSOP Circuit events. The winner of each will receive a WSOP Circuit gold ring and points on the Circuit Leaderboard. The winner of the $1,675 Main Event (Jan. 30-Feb.2) will also earn a free entry into the 2015 WSOP National Championship.

One additional seat in the National Championship is up for grabs. The top point-earner throughout the 12 events earns the title of Casino Champion and will join the Main Event winner at the National Championship.

Grand Rapids Man Wins Over $800,000 on Slot Machine at Tunica Roadhouse

July 3, 2014 – A gentleman from Grand Rapids, Mich. now has 800,000 reasons to celebrate this Fourth of July. Rick M. won $809,579 on a 50-cent Wheel of Fortune slot machine just hours after arriving in Tunica yesterday.

“I’m going to call my brother, who is a CPA, before I make any plans,” Rick said when asked what he would do with his winnings. “Thank you, Tunica Roadhouse!”

Rick had been playing the 50-cent slot machine only 15 minutes before he hit the jackpot.

The first in the series, featuring the band Fuel, will take place this Saturday, July 5, with a free fireworks show immediately following the concert. Horseshoe Tunica Undergoing Extensive Renovation

June 17, 2014 – Horseshoe Tunica, the gaming and entertainment leader in the Memphis market is currently undergoing extensive renovations, which include more games, featuring state-of-the-art technology, and an expanded and rebranded steakhouse.

“The Horseshoe experience has always been exceptional,” said Scott Barber, Regional President, Caesars Mid-South. “While we have made continuous improvements throughout the history of the property, this exciting new renovation will bring new slot games, highly integrated technology, dining and lounge improvements, and a more player-friendly floor configuration.”

Renovations have been underway for nearly four weeks, with plans to continue through mid-July. Horseshoe Tunica has added over 430 new slot games while keeping the traditional guest-favorite reel games. The casino floor has been reconfigured to incorporate Horseshoe Tunica’s legendary table action into the overall casino experience. New carpeting is in place, and new signage and fixtures, including the addition of over 100 LCD screens, have been added. The framework will be linked to a state-of-the-art video content management system, which will utilize real-time gaming information to trigger desired content such as jackpot winnings and other celebrations. Guests can now enjoy new slot chairs and the addition of new table games, including a $1 million jackpot on Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Mississippi Stud and Let it Ride.

Jack Binion’s Steak House is currently being refurbished, and will be rebranded as Jack Binion’s Steak upon completion. The new restaurant will include an expanded and contemporary dining area along with a refreshed menu.
